it sounds like Severus protests for the sake of protesting.

Well, there's that, too. I can't imagine that Severus would ever really be able to stop being grumpy, even when life is pretty good for him. ;-)

Quite lovely. Especially him taking the last biscuit. ;-)

Teddy's a brave young man, wanting Severus as his father-in-law!

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it. In my personal canon, Severus is absolutely the sort of man who snaffles the last biscuit. ;-)

You know, I think Teddy would be the rare person capable of bearing up under the pressure of Severus as a father-in-law. After all, the offspring of Tonks and a Marauder... well, he's probably pretty bold, don't you think?

Such a perfectly Snape-like response to this situation! Pot calling kettle black, and then snaffling the last biscuit...

Hee! Thank you. I'm so glad you enjoyed it. And yes, I think Severus is definitely the sort of man to take the last biscuit, especially when his pride has been damaged. ;-)

I love that it's Teddy Lupin ... multicoloured head and all.

What a great Yule treat for me to read. Thank you, thank you, and I'm so glad you're feeling better. Migraines are the pits.

Thank you! I'm so glad you enjoyed this little offering. There will be another one each day until Christmas. Glad you liked Teddy, too; of all the next gen kids, I'm particularly fond of him.

Migraines are the pits, but I'm finally feeling better, thank you. I don't usually have them so often these days, but then, it's been a stressful season this year. I'm just grateful to be pain-free, because nothing feels quite so wonderful as the absence of a migraine.

Awwwwwww! I love it!

And I recevied mine yesterday, though I didn't read it until the evening. Perfect! I shall re-read when I need a bit of respite from family.

Thank you! I'm so glad you enjoyed it.

And yay for your card arriving! Wow, that was actually quite quick, because I was wibbling about the international delivery. I'm very happy the story hit the spot.
