Wow. That is an incredibly beautiful thing that your dad is doing for her. <3 It almost moved me to tears. :)

You'll have to let us know how she reacts... although I bet I have a pretty good idea. ^_^ SO wonderful.

He can be! (At least my mother thinks so...)

I'm relieved to be getting on with it. It's still not going quite as smoothly as I'd like, but it's getting there. I'll send it along when it's more or less in shape, because I'm always keen for your perspective--as you know.

See? "It's a Wonderful Life," and your dad is Jimmy Stewart.

Hah! You know, my dad actually does have a lot in common with Jimmy Stewart, so you might be on to something there. But I do love the fact that my parents still love each other and love to give each other thoughtful gifts--not necessarily the most expensive ones, but those with personal meaning.

They taught me well. :-)

That's precious and darling and incredibly thoughtful, and I wish I could see your mum's reaction, because the word coming to my mind right now is epic.

I'll be sure to tell all about it! To be honest, I'm really looking forward to seeing her open the present, because I know she's going to love it.

That is so lovely. I am in awe that he could be so thoughtful, and put in so much effort, especially when he's had so much other stuff on his mind lately! :D

I'm very impressed with him, too. He'd have every reason to be oblivious this year, and the fact that he wanted to do something thoughtful really touched me.

He's a good guy, my dad. :-)
