The voice I heard was Mister Rogers. You can stop that cackling now. :D
I'm so happy that writing is flowing so beautifully, because flowy Bluey means more amazingness for us to read! :D I think one of these days I will come around to Jack White. I'll have to give Blunderbuss a listen because it's a favorite word of mine ever since the following exchange:
Me: I think their accuracy wasn't very good. So you'd aim a blunderbuss at something but couldn't hit the broad side of, well, you know...
CAH: A barn?
Me: A bus! They're not called blunderbarns, are they?
I love your mental writing box image- it's as beautiful, colorful, and eclectic as you are! I think mine looks like a game of Bananagrams only the idea tiles are jewel-toned and in a purple velvet bag. I dump them out on the table face-down, and then I turn over a handful and frantically start putting them together.
You foods are making me hungry. Thankfully, it's quarter to noon, so I can actually do something about it. :D Also, nuggets.
Yay for nattering time and double yay for exploding writing productivity! I love the way you describe your mental writing box, which sounds a whole lot better stocked than mine. Although mine is organised in exactly the same way *g*
And I love the sound of your kitchen experiments too. Thank you for reminding me that that peas-with-lettuce recipe is complete French genius and it is WAY too long since I last cooked it. I am waiting impatiently for the greengrocer to have fresh spring peas in stock. But at least the asparagus is good meantime...
Ha! It is my favorite organizational method, which is to say: not much of one. *g* And I refuse to believe that yours is poorly stocked, because I have seen evidence indicating otherwise! (Yours is one story that I plan to catch up on this weekend. I can't wait.)
Mmm, fresh asparagus! I've been enjoying that, too. I did a pizza the other day, and I topped it with very thinly sliced potatoes, asparagus, and red onion, just tossed in a tiny bit of olive oil and salt and roasted on top. I will definitely be doing that again.
I thought I was going to go crazy, waiting for those peas to be available. Luckily, my source came through!
My desk and my 'creating table' are both organised along the same system as well. In fact your description is uncannily accurate for the latter since I'm currently playing around making collaged notebooks... you can never have too many notebooks, right?
Blunderbuss sounds excellent; I will hunt it down on youtube and have a listen.
Frosting is largely what keeps me away from gourmet cupcakes. I find it tends to be overly sweet and applied in ice-cream-scoop portions that dwarf the actual cupcake. But the ones you had sound delicious. :-)
It really is excellent, the sort of album that immediately made me want to listen again. It's just always so nice to know that people are making really different and distinctive music these days, you know? I hope you enjoy it!
I love frosting and rarely find anything to be too sweet for my tastes, and even I think that gourmet cupcakes tend to have a frosting issue. Too much, too sweet, too heavy, and it often overwhelms the cake. But these were honestly perfect; the frosting was so light and silky that it almost seemed to melt into the cake. And they do vegan baking, too! Very impressed with their store and skills.

(I adore you. Thank you.)
I don't know, I didn't look! I'll have to take a peek this weekend, since my brother and I are treating them on Saturday. I kind of hope so. :D
