The last several days have been hectic, particularly yesterday, and there have been a few more frustrations and setbacks than usual, notably the fact that car problems on Monday meant I had to miss my lunch with PJ (~cries~) and a lot of Tuesday was lost to a sinusy migraine

Aww, thank you! So far, it is pretty tasty. And the biscotti seem to be a hit, so I'll definitely be making them again.

And I think you're absolutely right: she was there in spirit, and it was joyous. My aunt absolutely loved Christmas, and I could just... really feel her presence. And I wore the pearls she gave me when I turned 18, to honor her memory. In all, it was a wonderful night and worked out better than I could have hoped.
