Things that are good

1. I woke up this morning with a raging sinus-induced headache, but it's gone now. Thank goodness for caffeine and painkillers, no? I'd never get anything done without them.

2. Tom Izzo is a Spartan for life. ~glee~ No real fan of Michigan State would have begrudged him the opportunity to coach LeBron James in the NBA--he earned the ( Read more... )

Oh do I understand the horror of wearing a bathing suit in public! Actually, I hate wearing them in public so much that the idea of packing one for Con had not even crossed my mind. {{hugs}} you brave friend!

I envy you the time you get to spend with your god children too. My oldest god daughter will be 10 this year and I have not seen her since I moved to the mid-west though we do now exchange e-mails.

Aww, I bet you miss her. But isn't it wonderful that e-mail can keep you in touch? Amazing thing, e-mail.

~hugs~ Thank you for the support! I figure that... look, these are of some of my best and most accepting of friends, so if there were ever a safe time to brave the bathing suit, it's now. Plus, it's Florida. And I think we'll be hanging at the pool on Friday evening, since a group of us don't have tickets for Night of 1000 Wizards.

1. I will. As Drinkingcocoa said, it's also a sign that these are the right friends in front of whom to wear a bathing suit, no?

2. I know! I'm really looking forward to it. I'll report back after seeing it.

3. ~hugs~ I wish you could be there, too! But I promise that there will be plenty of ConEnvy treats in store. (Hint: start thinking of drabble prompts now.)

Yes, the $40 off is also a sign that these are the right friends in front of whom to wear a bathing suit.

I think you are right. Old hang-ups die hard, but in this case, I think it's definitely time. Nothing like a little push from the universe to get you going in the right direction...

*grins* Ah, honey, $40 is the universe moving from hinting to shouting. ;D

Frankly, the 'looking terrible' option does not compute.

Hee! I suppose you're right. It's not exactly a subtle markdown, is it? (Not that I'm complaining!)

And oh, you are very sweet, but you'll have to believe me when I say it's not only possible but probable. But I keep reminding myself that it's really okay and should not be an impediment to having fun with my friends.
