Very good news, actually! Dad came home from the hospital on Good Friday (I realize I forgot to mention that earlier), and although the weekend was awfully rough in spots (including a brief but horrifying interval during which Dad decided he didn't need pain meds), we're beginning to all work out a routine. And thank goodness, because the first ( Read more... )

Thank you! Although I hope your Easter was nice. :-) I can't take credit for the flowers, though; that was all Dad's friend. It was very thoughtful of him to send them, though.

Burn injuries = lots of pain meds, on schedule.

Beautiful eggs.

Most definitely. And now Dad understands this. It was difficult to watch, but he's so stubborn that I suppose he had to see for himself.

And thank you! I've always enjoyed dyeing eggs, and I was glad I could find the time to do them this year.

Thank you! I hope you enjoy dyeing your eggs. Glittery eggs are fun. :D I'm always on the lookout for interesting and new ways to decorate eggs, and thankfully, that's something that everybody else doesn't mind leaving to me.

I loved dyeing eggs as a kid. They are all lovely; the marbleized are my fave.

Thank you! I think I particularly liked the marbleized eggs, too. They were fun to do. I always enjoyed dying eggs as a kid, too, and thankfully, nobody has ever challenged me for the responsibility. ;-)

*squishes* So happy to hear the good news is piling up with your dad's recovery. Hopefully the Incident managed to relay how much pain meds are A Good Thing during such early stages of post-op.

Love those shiny eggs! We're only making ours on Saturday, as we have to go pick up white eggs that morning.

~hugs~ The Incident definitely did make it clear to Dad that the doctors prescribed the pain meds for a reason. It was hard to watch him in that much pain, but on the other hand, I think he'll never fuss about needing the meds again. There's a place to be brave and independent, and this isn't it.

Thank you! Good luck with your eggs. :D
