Good News (and Easter Egg pic spam)

Apr 13, 2009 15:50

Very good news, actually! Dad came home from the hospital on Good Friday (I realize I forgot to mention that earlier), and although the weekend was awfully rough in spots (including a brief but horrifying interval during which Dad decided he didn't need pain meds), we're beginning to all work out a routine. And thank goodness, because the first ( Read more... )

~squishes and adores~ Thank you! Yes, it was a good Easter. The rest of the weekend was all over the place (there are several reasons I didn't blog about it), but Easter was really lovely. And I'm glad you liked the eggs! They were a good bit of stress relief.

Honestly, I'm relieved to feel like writing again, even just a little bit. There was no space in my brain for it, these last two weeks.

~more squishy hugs~

Thank you. I was very pleased and relieved to have such a peaceful Easter, because honestly, on Friday, I very much doubted that it would be possible. It was a pleasant surprise, to say the least.

Beautiful eggs, and the egg plate showcase is adorable.

I'm glad you had a good day with your family. The food sounds yummy - I'm intrigued by the lemon-blueberry coffecake.

Yay for Snuna!

Thank you! I'm glad you like the eggs... and my mother's egg plate. *g* We used to use my grandmother's 40-year-old egg plate, but it was designed at a time when the average size of eggs was smaller, and it didn't accommodate these eggs very well.

It was an unexpectedly lovely, relaxing day, and the lemon-blueberry coffeecake was delicious. It was essentially a tart lemon cake with fresh blueberries folded in, topped with streusel and a thin drizzle of white icing. It wasn't one of mine, but I liked it enough that I'll probably try to recreate it sometime.

Yay yay yay for the Snuna! It's going well. ~whew

Oh, dear! Burn pain is not to be played with. It needs to be treated with constant and regular medication. The wake him up to take it kind of regular. I do wish he hadn't learned that one the hard way.

The eggs are gorgeous! The floral arrangement is lovely, despite it's Gryffindor leanings. I'm so happy you had a relatively quiet and restful weekend. Now you can Snuna away!

I couldn't agree more about the necessity for consistent pain medication for burns! ~shakes head~ But Dad can be stubborn, so I suppose he had to find out for himself. He won't make that mistake again.

Thank you! Glad you like the eggs. And I agree that the Gryffindor colors didn't take away from the flowers. ;-)

Snuna is ongoing, and will hopefully be completed sooooon...

The eggs are beautiful. I can imagine doing them took quite a bit of time!

~hugs~ Yes, good news! It's nice to have some good news to report. :-)

Thank you! I'm glad you like the eggs. They did take a good chunk of time, but it was honestly a good bit of stress relief to focus on doing something artistic and fun for a change. Kept my hands busy while my mind was working. ;-)
