During an exercise a couple days ago, under the intensity of machine gun trainig fire (which still hurts like hell) I was able to find complete cover in a small depression in the ground. Writing's a bitch sometimes. I could journal all goddamn day, but the moment that I sit down with a bottle of pinot noir and a good idea for a story my mind draws a blank and I can't force myself to hear any dialogue what so ever.

Maybe I'm becoming too comfortable with life.

I woke up this morning in a hotel, still drunk, and holding a broken Jameson bottle. Looking at my hand I noticed that it was covered in blood.
In some way this describes many aspects of my life.
