In another lifetime, or even a universe not that different from this one, the sight could've easily been a form of an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting--the cheap folding chairs, multipurpose room feel, and the whiteboard easel wheeled into the front all staples of such things ( Read more... )

Gordon slips in as the refugees arrive. The way he sees it, he owes them; they're from his native city, or at least were living in it, and they've been violently uprooted. If there are any questions he can answer, he ought to be here for them.
