Characters: "Kamui" and ??? Location: ... Somewhere. Anywhere. Summary: What do you do when you're dead and you don't have anything else to accomplish? You walk.
[Oh there's some light, but at least it's not as glaring as it might otherwise be. Twilight Town's not known for the same bright skies as other worlds, perpetually caught in the same hours of dusk.
And there's a boy who just might be familiar sitting at the stairs of the Summit Station, chomping on a blue popsicle]
[It's still a little bright for him, considering two whole years of travel between worlds no living being can reach, all in the dark. A little disconcerting, to find out that there's a place that's almost as bright as the Sea of Tears.
He's never been to that place in person, but he knows what it is. Not that he'd ever want to go there anyway...
The boy is almost familiar-- just the shock of blond hair is enough to make him remember that frail thing on the bed so long ago, unable to walk, speak, or do anything in the physical realm.
[For his part, Roxas is oblivious to this attention, biting down on his ice cream again. He seems to be lost to his own little world of thought, gaze settled on the city beyond the station's plaza.
In the distance he can see a train moving along the tracks tht run high above houses in town, the sea somewhere far past that. He never did manage to visit the beach, he notes wryly.
It's perhaps two minutes later that he finally notices his company, and that he's being watched]
[Mouth twists into an almost-frown. Something is wrong here-- no one should have been able to recognize him. He hasn't encountered another soul who knows who he is, and it's only those people who knew him from when he was alive who should know and see and remember his name, if the shock of death hasn't removed that.
"Kamui" knows they're dead. They just haven't crossed paths yet. This boy... he isn't one of those people.]
Yes.
[He smiles, like he's always done. No sense in letting this boy know just what he's thinking.]
[ thankfully for the walking corpse, there is nothing but the bog of darkness, and a deep, deep ocean licking at the sand ]
[ Riku coils to a sit on the bay, looking up at where the Door had once been, closed off from him now. but that's okay -- he can come to this place when he chooses, now ]
[ he doesn't notice Fuuma's approach, lost in thought (by then, used to the other man's scentlessness) ]
[Dead man's soul is pretty pleased about this. Just... that light at the horizon is pretty annoying.
Ah, well, he'll get used to it. It's not like he's going to stop and take a while here anyway.
He's not surprised that there's another around-- souls are always around. He hardly pays any attention to them. It's just curious that they're the only ones here.]
[Whatever light there is is shielded by the lens of his glasses as he walks along the docks of Besaid in the fading light. The island village is the same as it always has been - calm beaches, light breezes, accented with the sounds of children fading as mothers called them in for dinner.
Auron doesn't know how he ended up here, nor does he care; death is an elusive temptress for him, one that he had been seeking and avoiding at the same time. Whatever rest he had been wishing for is given up now as he leaves his footprints in the sand-
... At least, until he sees another pair of feet.]

[It's far too bright for his tastes, even with his sunglasses on-- he hasn't seen sun for years.
If only his coat had a hood, he would gladly pull it over his head. But he doesn't and it's painful. Too much light for a place in the realm of the dead... if he still is in it.]

[It's not depressing! It's a serious place. 8( And it's part of our uniform okay. We take great pride in it. At least, not counting certain Captains. But okay, she knows at least a good portion of the souls living here and she's pretty sure he's not one of them. Perhaps he's like Kurosaki-san?
... In that case, he needs to get out of here. Momo glances around before heading over, calling out to him-]

Not that it's surprising. He simply moves around the man to walk on more. To where? Who knows.]
