Ah, what a place to a start the story. The wonderful city of Paris and in particular, the fish market, or how it was called in the film, the most putrid spot in the whole kingdom

I read this book somewhere around the third course. At that time it was very popular book (I don’t know why O_O), a lot of people liked it and advised to read it. So I decided to read it too…Hmmm…this book disgust ed me actually =__=…I can’t quite remember specialties of book already…but this feelings that it’s something ‘ough!’ stayed for these days. Sometimes you reread some books that you didn’t like in the past and you find it very interesting…’Cause your perception changed or you was in another mood. But this one of books which I won’t reread for sure. )))) That is why I didn’t want to watch this movie. But one day I decided to try at least… What I can say the movie didn’t disgust me like book back then O_O…actually if say true I was a little boring XD ^^”…And it didn’t affect me at all. Like - watched and forgot…But I agree with you that operator, stage director and costumier did a really good job…That movie itself was good done…But I can’t say that I like it. =__=

For me, one of the most powerful scene in this movie was his experience in the cave, where he discovered that he himself doesn't have any smell. One of my student in her essay compared this moment and the whole concept of movie and main character to the person who wasn't socialized or doesn't know how society "works" and what is wrong or right. I have to agree with this allusion to some extent (although I don't remember every point of the essay exactly, but the idea was valid).
