i still wonder what mary meant tho, you know...that 'sorry'...
Maybe it just was she was sorry he didn't know her--but I kind of doubt it. Thanks for reading!

S1 is my favorite. Maybe because that was where I learned to love the boys. Maybe because it was simpler then. This fic puts me right back there.

Thanks.

The mytharc was simpler, but in ways, the character dynamics were a little more complex, which is what I enjoyed. Or maybe 'nuanced' is a better word. Either way, I'm glad you enjoyed the trip back.

A fantastic insight to what might have been going on inside Sam's head at the time.
Thanks! Sam's anger in "Asylum" made a lot of sense to me, but I know it was off-putting to some fans. This was sort of an effort to explore how Sam got to where he was in that ep.

Oh, i love that. I love the back and forth, the repression of emotions, the rage that's just lurking under the surface of them both.

And Sam *can* hold a grudge, and John is a stubborn bastard.

Good, good stuff!

Well, he learned from the best. I know, I know. Not everything is John's fault. ;-)

The writers made a good artistic decision in not doing more with the boys' feelings on-screen, but gosh, that tension just begged for more exploration, didn't it?
