Just go in one day and slack off like everyone else, when they ask you what happened tell them you wanted them to see and appreciate what you do for them every day because nobody else is going to. you might get a raise...

I want to say that ABSOLUTELY feeling valued is 95% of what makes a good job. Every day I leave my work and I call "See you tomorrow" my boss shouts "Thank you, Aya, see you tomorrow"

Or other such things.

It is a poor manager who doesn't understand this. Hard workers ARE hard to come by. Period.
