I've heard tell of this 'chard' before, but I didn't know it was silverbeet. The cute pups are the happiest hounds ever. Bella, the rough collie, is my bro's and she's effortlessly dainty and polite. (Unless she espies food for which she would trample her own mother to vanquish.)
The pumpkin is practically shooting for the moon - only sideways instead of up - so we're gonna have to nip it in the bud so it focuses on bearing fruit. The tommies (tommy matoes) are coming good after a nasty curled leaf affliction which I managed to 'fix' by cutting them off. :P One bean stalk is growing but the other one isn't. The cukes are crazy prolific, as are the kipflers. That just leaves the red silverbeet and Dutch carrots in that vegie patch, and they're all dawdling. I think we should've planted earlier but we grew them all from (heirloom) seed and you can't rush germination! (Well, not if you're growing them organically.) We've started harvesting these beautiful (butter?) lettuces up the side of the house. And three types of mint. Don't think I won't be in awe of your garden again when autumn hits here and you're into spring.
