Weekend + Facebook.

I'm having the nicest weekend. Hung out at home yesterday, did some laundry, can't remember what else even though it was only yesterday. Today we hung out in the morning then drove over to Balgowlah Heights in the arvo. My niece turned 9 today. Kenji had a ruff'n'tumbly time with Bella, his cousin. semibold just got fanmail about a decade after the last issue of her zine came out, so I suppose it's never too late.

I think I partially understand that aspect (and maybe allure?) of Facebook but I'm not sure if it's a good thing or if I want it. I'm listening to side 2 of Something/Anything, by the way.

I'm pretty sure it's not a good thing. I don't like categorisation (well, I do, but it's not healthy) or homogeneity, and I loathe the idea of being traceable on the internet. They're the main reasons I avoided Facebook and why I never gave the time of day to MySpace.

Is Something/Anything good?

It's Todd during the peak moments! It has some big hits and some smaller, superb songs. It's excellent!

I joined Facebook a while ago... and managed to find all the folks I really really wanted to get in touch with from my past. It was strange to find younger friends with husbands and families of their own - very strange indeed.

It was strange in the sense that I felt like I was entering the fourth dimension or something. It really was a mild version of shock. She was my best friend for much of highschool and she was holding a baby. Her baby. And she always preoccupied by being bigger than everyone else in her teens, and here she was, thin as a pin. I just can't get over it.
