so this is late but I'm just gonna give a few quick impressions from what I remember: I thought it was a very good start to the season. I'm glad they gave us more backstory and confirmed what Sam was thinking re: his parentage. Whether that is true remains to be seen. I agree, it was all way too easy. And the Devil is known to lie and lie all the time. He can just let Sam continue thinking what he's thinking.

have you seen the newest ep 2x04, The Favorite yet? I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts, particularly about certain revelations.

Also, I must get another Reaper icon. This one just doesn't quite fit the post.

And man, bad idea asking about my thoughts. Have you not yet noticed what a blowhard I am? :D

I freaking LOVED the episode. I spent like, several hours looking up Nephilim. It's too long to post as a reply here, so I'll link what I wrote: click here. I don't think Sam is a Nephilim and I'm curious as to why the writers had Nina bring them up.

And Sam's dad? So many ideas, so little decisions on my part. I thought maybe he's a demon, maybe he's a human whose body has died but whose soul is intact. But pacejunkie came up with an interesting theory that while I don't like, I do think she might be on to something with Mr. Oliver being a newly Fallen Angel. Maybe his "look" in The Favorite was his Angel form starting to transform into Demon form.

Also, the Devil is a MAJOR l-i-a-r. Sam's special, period. Morgan obviously has no contract forcing him to work. I was annoyed when he said "and by favor, I mean you have no choice." I think he needs the contract to get Sam to work for him. ( ... )
