the entry body text block width has gone really wide, so i am having to scroll left to right all the time. what happened?

i seem to have spent most of the day reading the internet. it is very big. and of variable quality.
i'm not sure it's a good idea really. i'm going to hang up a picture and read some book.

 so i feel ready to get myself a website.

what i want to know is - how do i pick a hosting thing? are there good ones and bad ones? does anyone recommend one or are there any to avoid?

- i want a domain name which probably won't change. 
- i want a fair amount of storage space cos the content will be almost entirely graphics.
