We adopted Piper from Washington Animal Rescue League back in November of 2002. We went in looking for a compromise between a pug (what I was aiming for) and a lab (what M was aiming for). Aaww, I love that first picture. And her knitted Dalek! What a sweetie. So sorry for you. !4 years is a good innings for a little dog, and from looking at the pics, at least she looked like she was still enjoying life right until the end. Bless her.

I really don't think she was in pain until last weekend. And then once she got to the hospital she was high on pain meds. She had good quality of life.

The dalek was made by cruentum! Dalek Blue. :)
