THIS STORY! Dude. You captured that age so well, Jensen hero-crushing on Misha and that their friendship is more than just what anyone else thinks it is and this is so sweet and I'm ridiculously in love with this series. Are Tshirts outlawed in Texas? Um, they should be. Or for anyone who was born in Texas, yes, I think that should be a law. I love all the places Jensen takes Misha during the summer (your names are genius, your descriptions are perfect and I swear, I know those places even here in MI). Misha doesn't make fun of Jensen for being afraid of the dark and lets him sleep in the sleeping bag with him, squee. And how utterly heart-broken Jensen is when Misha doesn't come get him. How he thinks Misha doesn't want to be friends with a little kid anymore. Oh my god, I was worried for a moment maybe Misha had outgrown Jensen. “Shut up, Jensen, you know you’re not just the neighbor kid to me, asshole.” When they finally kiss and Jensen is trying not to cry and you better make a sequel. OMG, this is the best comment EVAH! Thank you so much; it's made me happy all day. :D

I thought this was just the sweetest prompt and I had to give it a whirl. I love this coming-of-age genre, and it's been so hot here lately that all I can think of is summer.

Anyhow, I like writing this story and will be writing more of it as the mood strikes. I have a lot of open documents and I'm trying not to force it. Good to know that you enjoyed it!

This reminds me of my early teens and desperately wanting to be more than friends with a nomadic classmate. *GUH* How fragile the adolescent heart!
