The cup is awesome! And the clock is so old-school :) I've seen those only in movies

That is a good haul. You can certainly pick up some gems from thrifty shopping, in fact, I have to thank those shops for my pants for the past 2 years :D

Thanks. I buy most of my clothes at thrift stores too, except of course underwear, socks, and for some strange reason, suits (I can never seem to find a good suit).

Suits are certainly very hit and miss. Where I work is sort of a upper-class business area so the thrifty store in there gets like designer brands and all of that jazz and they are cheap. So whenever there is like a last minute business meeting or event, the guys normally head over to the thrift shop across the road but never do they have much success. I guess they are more tailor made.

That 1926 guide book actually looks really amazing! What a cool find.

Thanks. That period is very romanticized, evocative for me, the whole "The Sun Also Rises" thing.

France keeps luring you, doesn't it? With a guidebook like that, you must give up everything and make it across the Atlantic next year! ;)

Ah, but I would need a time machine too, because I want to travel back to 1920's France, and get drunk/act macho with Hemingway, Fitzgerald & Co. ;)
