This painting makes me think of a quote from Apocalypse Now: "I love the smell of napalm in the morning!" It's certainly likely to wake one up in the morning.

It does have a post-Apocalyptic or separated-from-time-and-space feel to it. I hope I can dig up more of these type paintings--they're awesome! :)

The colours make my eyes pop out like a goldfish - it's very confrontational, colour-wise.

'Confrontational' isn't the word I'd choose--more like the day after a thermonuclear device had detonated in the upper atmosphere and started a chain reaction that set the entire sky aflame. But I see what you mean. ;)

How insensitive of that couple down the front to just be standing there holding hands as if it were a normal day if it's a post-thermonuclear meltdown day! I hope a Roman column falls and hits them on the noggin.

Thanks. That's my feeling about yellow too--it's surprises one at first, then is oddly calming. ;)

What you call 'problems' was most probably intentional. I don't think there could be any problems in art - only solutions. Then it comes down to taste, and that's it. :)

I like your philosophy--it is liberating to view the making of art this way. ;)
