Dear Mr. Rothfuss,

I'm enjoying The Name of the Wind, I really am. However, since I've reached the point in the book where the young protagonist (who is a bit over-the-top in his perfection, but that's another issue) is studying "sympathy" (magic) at the university, I've noticed a particular habit in the writing: whenever the robe that one of the ( Read more... )

Clearly he will never work for Elle or Harper's. Definitely not enough variety in the clothing descriptions and he probably wouldn't have any idea what color "honeysuckle" is, perhaps believing it to be a shade of yellow.*

* I am reliably informed that this is the "in" color for spring and that it is a shade of pink, owing to a variety of the plant that grows in Russia.

I have no idea why you are not enamoured of Emma Watson's non-blood related doppleganger. Guess you're not going to be seeing Bieber's biopic when it comes out in 3D.

At first I thought you meant Robert Pattinson, for some reason, but now I understand you mean Bieber.

What I find really hysterical are the ads for a Justin Bieber, Esq. on our local buses. Apparently this guy has had a lawsuit against the young singer for a while now, arguing that he's making it difficult for the lawyer to plie his trade and be taken seriously. I don't know if the suit has been settled but I do know that I would probably think twice about hiring him just because of not wanting to hear this spoken in court:

"And you are represented by--Justin Bieber?"

:cue laughter, including judge, who declines to clear the court because he can't say the words due to laughing too hard:
