Life in the house.

Things are keeping on as they do. Kitten is growing up and becoming a cat. Dogs are being doggy. Birds are being birdy. We got our first trace of snow last night.

And I have a bunch of pictures that I didn’t take off the camera yet again.

Butter woe is truly the worst woe. Rooster's learning a little self-control as he passes his third birthday and Becomes A Dog, so his current routine involves sitting as close to the buttered item as possible, while pointedly looking away from it. Which, because it's Rooster, is somehow exactly as obnoxious as staring at my food and drooling. "Hey. Hey, look at me. Look at me not interested in your turkey sandwich at all. See how I'm staring over there? Away from the turkey roll like a good dog? Now is the part where you give it to me because I am totally earning it down here." Dogs who think they can game the system are kind of the best.

Gus and Jelly do not remotely appear to be the same kind of animal.

I'm waiting for Noire to learn self-control. Considering that she's over five, it may be time to give up that hope.

Dogs are so hilarious. All of mine do the 'I am sitting here, I don't know if you're aware of that, let me stare at you, and sit some more', which is sort of obnoxious. However, what can you do? I mean, okay, I could train something else, but this is funny.

Gus and Jelly are not the same kind of animal. One is a catten and the other is a big cat. See? Reasonable! The orientals love him so much, mostly, I think, because he's big and hairy and warm.
