[Al's outside, dressed in a modified version of his cloak - it looks padded, and the hood, though it's down, is lined with fur. There are snowflakes in his eyelashes and he's got a warm scarf wrapped around his neck. His cheeks are pink with cold, but he's grinning

And that would be Santa Claus. Do you want the short version or the long version of who he is?

Santa Claus...? I'd love the long version, whatever you can tell me.

He has a few names--Santa Claus, Kris Kringle, Father Christmas, Saint Nicholas--and there are a few different origin stories as well, the one I remember off the top of my head being he was a Christian saint who generously gave gifts to the poor.
However, modern interpretations of Santa have him as a jolly old man who lives at the North Pole with his wife, Mrs. Claus, and their elf helpers. They spent all year making toys and checking a list of all the children to see who has been good and who has been bad. All the good kids get toys and the bad kids get a lump of coal. He also has magical reindeer that can fly and they're in charge of pulling his sled (his transportation method of choice). On Christmas Eve, he sets out at night and flies around the world, stopping at every house and leaving Christmas gifts under the Christmas tree so when the children wake up Christmas morning, they'll have their presents.

Wow... that's a beautiful story. Is it true in your world? I mean, reindeer can't fly, right? And all around the world in one night - he must be really fast, or something.
Wait, he comes into your house and leaves gifts? And how does he know who's good and who's bad?

Don't work yourself to death, hear me? Or I'll bring you back myself and force you to take a break!
The tale is, Santa Claus is this guy who lives up in the North Pole and makes gifts for the good children and gives it to them on December 25th, and he rides around the world on his sleigh pulled by flying reindeer. It's mostly a kid's tale, but still--Santa's a huge symbol for Christmas!

Ffff, I know my limits and I haven't pushed them! I'm just so excited, I'm getting all the work out of the way so I can go exploring all the shops. The whole city is filled them, and all kinds of decorations.
Really? Woah... how does he get the gifts to the kids?
