THE BEGINNING
It begins, as these things are wont to, in the middle of a typical small town in rural America.
The town has little to distinguish it by. Sure, there's the summer camp a couple miles away, or the toy factory where a number of the local populace are employed, or the hospital, but besides that it might as well be any standard town anywhere. Or so it would seem, anyway.
Upon first arriving, however, the various victims of PIN malfunction will find one universal thing: A lock on their PINs, demanding breaking a complicated puzzle in order to PIN out again. The fact that this appears to be PROGRAMMED INTO the PIN should be the first clue that something about this place is dreadfully wrong.
Well, that and the local paper announcing a massacre in a neighboring town, but that could happen anywhere, right?
