Sorry to hear that things are being so challenging.
I believe most students in unstructured classes work somewhat erratically. I know I did when I had them. It can feel inefficient, but often isn't. One of my engineering management instructors told a story about a college experiment with a group of soldiers and a group of students cleaning beaches. The soldiers were more orderly and diligent, but the students produced equivalent results in less time.
Good luck with closing out your classes. I hope you manage to graduate on time, without additional frustration.
I haven't really been on LJ much lately so I completely missed this...
I'm terribly sorry to hear about your grandmother. I can't imagine how you feel but I do hope it is getting easier for you by now.
Question about Stetson... why would you lose your Florida Resident Access grant? As in they wrongly assigned the funding to you in the first place, or some paper work got screwed up? And shouldn't they have figured all of this out in January?
All I have to say is, I know we only know each other a little, but if you ever want to bitch/rant/participate in verbal or written catharsis... you can send me emails any time you want. You can have my number too, but I don't post it on the internet. Mandy has it (though I a sure you have plenty of people to call).
