[Hello, Luceti.]

[There is now an elephant in your square.]

[Yes, an elephant. An elephant with tiny tiny wings.]

[Who is clearly pissed.]

< All right, whoever's in charge here has FIVE SECONDS to start explaining what's going on before I knock down a wall or four! >

[In reality, the elephant is a sixteen-year-old girl who's pretty damn scared ( Read more... )

[...well that's something you don't see every day. He was just taking a walk through town and...there's an elephant.] What the hell?

[Why hello there blondie. The elephant's trunk is going to shoot out and the sensitive "fingers" in the end of its trunk are going to grab a pseudo-handful of shirt and yank you forward.]

< You. > [Yes, the voice is definitely female, though very snarly.] < Either you tell me where I am right now or I turn you into a hamburger. >

[Brb trying not to be eaten by an elephant. BUT he's not going to openly admit that he's freaked out.] Like you could. Let go.

< If I can do it to a Hork-Bajir, I can do it to you. Where. Am. I. >

[See that foot, Draco? That's a pretty big foot. And it's raising and sort of hovering around your head area. He's not in any danger of being eaten by an elephant, but humans can be pretty damn squishy. Not as squishy as taxxons, though.]

[Luc happens to live by the square. And whoever's out there is being very loud.]

Stop shouting.

[Whoever's out there is not a happy camper.]

< Then tell me what the hell is going on here! Where's the Blade Ship?! >

Whatever your Blade Ship is, it's nowhere near here. You're stuck in another world. Shouting in people's heads is not going to make it any better, so please stop doing it.

< I'll stop doing it when I've got a reason to stop doing it. And I don't think I got yanked through Z-space again so why am I on another world. >

[The telepathy will continue until she's sure she's not going to get attacked the moment she demorphs. Sorry Luc, but at least she's not blatantly yelling anymore, just "speaking" emphatically.]

< I'm the thing that's about to give you a real bad day unless I start getting some answers, because this damn sure isn't the afterlife I was expecting. >

[An elephant actually walks very softly, so there's no ground shaking as she gets roughly eye-to-eye with Lloyd. As eye-to-eye as she can get, anyway.]

< Are you one of them? >

[As long as he's not overtly (or admittedly, covertly) hostile he's ...relatively safe. She's still in battlemode.]

< It's gotta be the afterlife. And it can't be heaven. > ['Cause people like her aren't meant for heaven.] < Do you have one of them in your head? Are you a controller? >

[Patrolling! Because that's all he really has to do lately, but what's this...? Shouting in his head? First, that's freaky and not okay, and second what the hell is that!? Elephants resemble nothing from Seifer's world, so all he can imagine is that it's some kind of bloodthirsty monster.

Hello Rachel, have an ex-Knight charging after you with his gunblade.]

[...Seifer you idiot, can't you see it's already angry? Okay, so the shouting is odd, but still.

So have your rival grabbing you by the arm in order to stop you short.]

[Good idea, Squall. Those ears aren't so big for nothing, and Rachel picked up on that charge, but an elephant not in a charge of her own can be a little awkward to turn. Not that she hasn't gotten hurt in this form before, but getting hurt always makes her go even crazier, and good as Seifer is even he couldn't push a pachyderm off him.]

< Try that again and I'll squash you like a cockroach, you bastard. >

[Angry, rampaging yelling monsters are exactly what you're supposed to kill, Squall! Seifer is grabbed and pulled back by his rival, who gets a very dirty look for the intervention.]

Back off Leonhart, it's obviously askin' for it. [Turns back to the yelling elephant.] What was that, monster!? I've taken on things three times your size, bring it! [Already summoning up a nice big Flare spell, he doesn't have many left but this situation might just call for it.]

[Terra pauses and stares at the large beast making a racket. She snaps out of that and falls into a defensive position, not drawing her blade but ready to cast a spell or two, if the situation escalates. However, it's capable of communicating, so perhaps there is a chance of reasoning with it.]

Please don't! The people in charge won't care if you do and they're not in town, anyway! I'll explain as best I can, but stop shouting!

[And there's someone who actually seems to make some sense. The green hair doesn't phase her, because let's face it, the west coast USA is big on weird hair colors. But if someone's going to answer questions... Rachel reaches forward and wraps her trunk around Terra's waist, lifting her easily (and surprisingly gently) into the air to get a better look at her.]

< You'll explain? You won't just pass off anything? >

[Terra eeps at being lifted, but she doesn't struggle. And it's...actually not as unnerving as it could be. Then again, Terra's used to seeing creatures far stranger than this one--and far more hostile, too. She shakes her head.]

I won't, though keep in mind that I'm also pretty new to this realm. I arrived a few days ago. Just...don't squeeze if you don't like what you hear. That will happen a lot.

[Elephants are very gentle. It's the mind inside it that's not. So while she's holding Terra about six feet off the ground, it's not a violent hold.]

< "If I don't like what I hear?" Listen - I've just spent the past several years fighting alien slugs in people's heads and the past several weeks on the run living in a forest with no shopping mall or showers while my aunt and uncle got kidnapped by the alien living in my cousin's brain to have slugs stuffed in their brains and my entire town got obliterated and I died ending this stupid war. Try me. I dare you. >
