glad to hear he's doing better. :-) and that its helping.

I also feel very strongly that animals come into our lives to teach us, and beej has a lot of lessons for you.

what she said about not putting beej in with blitzen made sense...for now. i still hope you find a place for blitzen that is closer to you so you can see him. he teaches you things as well. its funny...sometimes sage is my greatest example; so calm, and cheerful, friendly, accepting. i aspire to be like that and not worry so much! I would love to have the patience of blue, my OTTB that died when I was 17. He was something special.

being so spacey like that, he certainly does need to connect his brain to his body more, huh? Linda Tellington Jones stuff does exactly that, but there are lots of other ways of improving that connection as well.

omg, laura is going to lend me a book by Linda Tellington-jones! she does the Ttouch stuff, right? we talked a bit about that and she gave me a few tips on massaging his muzzle as he plays with his mouth to 'escape' and massaging it will reconnect him.

very interesting! still got to get that Tao of Equus. argh... so much reading to do!

I did a TTEAM Touch clinic last year and it was amazing to see the horses relax. One little gelding in particular was absolutely wild when he came in and nearly ran over a few people watching the clinic. rearing, circling, calling, he was a mess. 45 minutes later he was almost sound asleep, just standing there with his eyes almost closed while they worked on him...
