Our (human) chiro works with her daughter who does deep tissue massage - she says that tends to fix the changes she has made a little and stop the muscles springing back into their old alignments so quickly, so it's a good idea.

A good chiropractor makes a really clear difference but they can be hard to find.

Human chiros are very effective, if yoiu find a good one, and they do not become doctors first, why should horse ones become vets first. I don't think its necessary at all. Chiro's are taught about all the body, how it works and why, and in many areas they study them more than doctors do. Just read a comparative between how many hours doctors spend learning this and that and then how many chiro's spend and it was very eye opening.
