yeah, i'm glad others commented as well. i know it's that users first post, so i tried to take it back just a lil bit, but still.

you know what i think? i think it's a lot of beginners/new to riding ppl posting lately because i don't see many oldies who are so fucking critical about little things like that.

bring out the rollkur, i say. give 'em something REAL to complain about.

It bothers me when newbies think they know everything about something, then mock what they have so little actual knowledge of. Bothers me a lot.

If it makes you feel any better, sometime in the last couple of months Daniel and I walked wayyyy out in the field to pet our ponies (the ones at his parent's house--not Tuff who is at his sister's ( ... )

i have never ridden a horse in a wide open space (bigger than an arena) totally nekkid. that would be fricking AWESOME.

Oh but doncha know, blitzen, we're croooooo-uelr, awful, undeserving, sub-humans because *gasp!!!* we don't have gear worth thousands and thousands and in the latest colours, designs, fashions. Anything short of a $500 LEATHER bridle and a $10,000 LEATHER saddle is just no good, you know? And you should be BORN knowing how to ride, how dare there be beginners. If you can still see 'horse' from under the cotton-wool protective equipment than you obviously don't have enough on there ;-)

bad_riding's been driving me nuts! Is it bad that lately most of the posts that I see in there, I'm like, "Hmm...I've done that before" or "Hmm...that actually looks kinda cool"?

Also, the no bridle thing? I ride with either no bridle, or just a halter with one lead rope, all the time. I'd actually consider being able to do that very good riding, not bad riding.

ABSOLUTELY! me too... i don't see ppl linking that vid of stacey westfall riding bridleless in an OMG indoor arena with an OMG huge crowd! OMG no helmet either! OMGZQ@#
