If it makes you feel any better, sometime in the last couple of months Daniel and I walked wayyyy out in the field to pet our ponies (the ones at his parent's house--not Tuff who is at his sister's).
Anyway it must have been before much snow came down because it had melted and we had to climb around a lot of puddles. After checking the horses we decided we didn't want to walk wAYYY Back and through all the puddles so we hopped on the horses (Daniel on his Arab mare and me on Hazy--do you remember him?) and rode them back to the gate. No halters, no leadropes, nothing. And I even managed to steer Hazy up to a post where I'd hung my jacket (got warm walking out to the herd).
SO yeah, lately I've plonked around, just hanging out, and definately had someone taken a pic I'd have been on BAD RIDING.
Oh, and Daniel used to ride pigs, before his parents got him a pony. The crazy stuff he and his sister did with their ponies when they got them makes my blood go cold. It is amazing they both survived to adult hood. Makes riding with a twine bridle look TAME.
