Interestingly though, she's had him for two years and is selling him... but wants him to go to a home where he will stay for a long time.
$500 sounds like a good deal for all his gear, a bunch of blankets and whatnot. Hm.
Anyway, about brushing... I wonder if maybe they've got corrective shoeing on him, or if he's trimmed in such a way that he doesn't brush anymore, or maybe the people you saw him with didn't have him trimmed/shod properly. I can't imagine that he'd do well showing if he's brushing as much as he was when you looked.
I'm rambling now. If I was looking to buy and had money and he was near, I would probably go take a look.
will had raced 87 times when he retired at age 11. O_o he'll be 18 this yr and is still going strong. my absolute favorite horses are actually the ones who raced a lot and retired older. every one i've met has been sound and sane. :) (i guess they'd kinda have to be :P) i wonder if she's selling him due to finances? she sounds really regretful in her ad. :(
