Huh

when i was horse hunting, i really considered this boy:

i tried him out twice. took kelli the 2nd time. just a very lovely, honest horse. SUPER fricking quiet, not phased or worried at all. i think they wanted $3k for him at the time.

i had deep concerns about his potential for un-soundness tho, which is why, in the end i passed him up.

he was 9 when he was for sale & the seller had got him off the track at age 7. he had done quite well at the race track & had something like 50 starts, which i felt was a lot for a 7yo?

he had a sacroiliac bumpy thing (hunter's bump i think it's called) which concerned me, but mostly, he brushed. like CRAZY. they kept a kicking ring on his nearside fetlock/coronet because otherwise he'd brush his coronet so bad he'd bleed. i doubted he'd pass a vet check.

still, a super nice horse. hope he finds a nice home. i wonder why she's selling him?

interesting stuff
