oh, i also just wanted to say that FINALLY beejay is starting to consistently respond to me when i drive in with my car. he does nicker for food, but now he's starting to communicate in a "HELLO! you're HERE!" kind of way

My horse reponds to my whistling sometimes. When she feels like it. So - not very often. *g* But she gets very jealous when I don't greet her first thing when I enter the stable. Sometimes I just stand there chatting with a barn mate and then you can hear her nicker and stomping her foot. *g*
Personally I don't really like Monty Roberts that much. He doesn't do anything great, he just keeps his calm and is very patient. Though he is a very good horseman, hands down

If you're in germany maybe one of these is near you - Steve is the man as far as I'm concerned and because he's not as well known yet as people like Mark Rashid it's a bit easier to get a clinic place, certainly here in the UK, although that is starting to change. Well worth watching as well.
I'd be interested to see whether you saw the same things in Monty now. Certainly as I got deeper into NH I found myself less impressed by what he does. I mean he's very experienced and very competent, but compared with a lot of the other people I've watched and learned from he's doesn't seem so special to me.
