I still haven't replaced my personal internet, using the laundromat today since they have repaired theirs. Wow, lots happening since my last post. The company I work for is selling their assets to another corporation, end result is that I hope to be unemployed, with a severance package, by October. Internet failure, third USB device in the past year. Cancelled that contract & paid the fines, cheaper than paying another year for something that is useless. Will tether from cellular at next upgrade... feeding vehicle needs at the moment. Ciao.

I retrieved the matchlock kit from the Post Office today. Just opened it and was surprised at the truly low quality of the wooden stock. It appears as though someone roughed it out with a chainsaw, inletting is also only partially complete. Well, the Federal & State roads near work are open this morning; but when I called in I was told to remain at home. Too much snow on site to get access to the wind turbines. Made it to work before they closed the roads, barely made it back home. Never had a blizzard from this direction before, drifting in places that I'm unaccustomed with. The ICom SM-30 microphone arrived today, but I'm still waiting on the firearm. Tried to call those folks again this morning with equally poor results...

Worked a half day today, then made my first contact to Croatia. After that I spoke to a few other stateside HAM's. Got the final section up tower, bolted with LokTite. Weather this weekend is problematic. All I have remaining to do is haul the antenna up tower, secure it, and unroll it. Then Run the cable uptower and zip-tie, tape it, and route it to the rig. I'll have to mount it as an inverted V until I get the telescopic masts for the end supports.
