Alright. That was ... weird. Tristan just kind of fled and now Iggy was standing there, hands bloody, and a bit disoritented. Abandoning a blind person, even one that wasn't human, was a Bad Thing ( Read more... )

We're so sorry about Tristan. >.> He'll totally apologize next time he sees Iggy.

Delilah's easy to find - she's always in the same spots, either sowing in the common room or outside, breathing the cool air.

In fact, if Iggy returns to the skin - he might find Delilah there, staring at it with wide eyes.

It's huge - she hasn't seen anything like this in a long time.

Iggy crouches down and places his hands on the bag of salt. "Yeah, it is. But does it look like enough?"

Seriously.

"I think there will be some left when we're done." -- A hesitation. "How are we going to carry this?"

Wings shifting a bit behind him, Iggy frowns. "If you can keep me from running into stuff and breaking my neck, I can." One of the few benefits of the genetic manipulation. He was stronger than the average bear human.

He couldn't carry it for long though...

"I can do that," she replies, and will hold the back door for him. She's impressed by his strength - and is rather appreciative of his dedication to helping a friend.

Thankfully, the skin isn't too far, we don't think.

Iggy bends, remembering the old adage about 'lifting with the knees' and hoists the bag up. His wings spread a bit to help him keep his balance and he heads for the door and the skin.

Should be just outside...

We'll be kind and assume that no-one's seen fit to steal a bloody bear hide. Delilah will assist Iggy as much as she can, directing him when there are obstacles and keeping the path clear too him.

Iggy's fairly graceful, trusting that Delilah probably isn't the sort to get a kick out of watching him run into something or fall flat on his face.

Not like some other bird guy we won't mention...

Once they're there though, that bag is set on the ground with a soft grunt.

She looks up at him, frowning a little. "Are you alright?"

"Yeah," he smiles at her. "Just kind of heavy. Now what?"

"Now, we spread a large coat of salt onto the skin. Like so." She takes a fistful of salt and starts to spread it.

He tilts his head to listen to what she's doing and then bends to take some salt for himself and starts at the other end from her.

"Like this?"

"That's right," she replies, grinning. "Don't be afraid to use a lot of salt."

"Got it." Iggy moves slowly, occasionally reaching out to lightly feel the skin and find where there's too much salt and not enough as he spreads it.

Perhaps, then, they can work together companionably - Delilah will indicate any missing spot on his side, if he does miss one, gently.

Iggy learns quickly the proper way of doing things, and he doesn't get frustrated when he's missed a spot or is corrected.
