Raawwwrrr life is deeply confusing at the moment. I pretty much convinced myself that I wanted to move on from my current school at the end of the year because I want to work in KS1 and I'm currently in KS2, but then I got all confused because my co workers are so lovely. Also because I'm a little bit afraid of telling my head that I'm looking at

I have no idea if I'm going to be offered the permanent contract or not, I like to think they like me enough to offer it but I can't figure out how many vacancies they'll actually have at the end of the summer (2 teachers out on maternity atm who will be coming back in September) and one of the other NQTs is male and my head LOVES male teachers. Like, last year they had 3 NQTs again and both the women were put on 1 year contracts but the man was given a permanent contract straight away. The problem with changing jobs in teaching is that I hate the idea of leaving partway through a year, it just doesn't seem fair on the kids? So for me it's kind of a year-long commitment :/ Oh well, hopefully should find out about my contract half a term before the resignation deadline so we'll see!

It is pretty much the most ridiculous guitar, it's been waaaay modded to some sort of weird metal-jazz-punk hybrid and it's excellent.

It would be nice, but they've all got permanent contracts :/ It's such a pain that EVERYONE KNOWS that men will be hired over women in my school but everyone in leadership seems to think it's ok? We all knew before he was hired that the male NQT, whilst being really nice, is really rubbish at primary teaching, but they still hired him anyway.

We shall seeee I suppose. I just want to go and work in a lovely year 1 classroom so I can theme it on studio ghibli mostly :P
