Food Inc. was a real eye opener. I like my dairy so much, it would be really difficult for me to give that up too, but I certainly appreciate and respect the decision you made to go vegan. What are you doing for protein?

Weren't you the one who linked me to Food Inc when it was on PBS? That's the one that had me going pescetarian last summer.

I probably get most of my protein from nuts and the rice/bean combo (which fortunately I love - so many lunches with that in a wrap along with Daiya vegan cheez and raisins in it). Also peanut butter, soybeans/tofu, and eating more whole grains than before. I'm also partial to Morningstar Farms vegan burgers - so yummy!

Here's a nice link that lays out the basics: http://www.vegparadise.com/protein.html

I don't actually call myself a vegan yet since I'll still compromise when I'm away from home and really hungry.

You know what I feel like I'll miss most? Wool. I wonder if I could get some Amish wool somewhere where the sheep were treated right? I wouldn't mind if they got a haircut once a year as long as they weren't treated cruelly in any way. (A real Vegan wouldn't do that either.)
