Anybody else seen Inception yet? I pretty much always come away satisfied from Christopher Nolan movies, but this one was particularly enjoyable. Some really wonderful camera perspective tricks to please my inner perception geek, plus the whole nature-of-reality-dreams-within-dreams-mindfuck is just so up my alley. Good stuff ( Read more... )

SoS was my favorite of the four. Some really excellent twists in there. I was a little let down by A Feast for Crows, mostly because none of my favorite POV characters are featured. Now I'm just crossing my fingers that Martin will be motivated to finish the series before HBO does it for him!

One of my favorite bits was when Dany acquired The Unsullied. Was good to see Martin write a betrayal that was glorious instead of just wrenching. :)

Arya's definitely my favorite Stark, but Tyrion is far and away my overall favorite, so I really missed him in AFFC. Jon and Dany are far too absent as well.

I'll have to check out Martin's LJ. I'm excited to finally have read the books in a series before it airs on HBO or Showtime!
