[ The air is cool against his face, fresh and clean after so long in the fetid darkness of the cell. It's bright, almost too bright, yet his dark eyes narrow only slightly as he tips his chin up to cast a glance at the sky. Discomfort is a fleeting thing, a mere annoyance that is easily ignored. He welcomes the burning tingle of that brightness,

[Gin's on his way back to Rukongai when he sees Aizen. He slows down to a halt, staring.]

[ Ah, now there's a familiar face. One he hadn't thought to ever see again, in point of fact. Yet despite Gin's treachery, his stride is easy and unconcerned as he approaches his former lieutenant, his expression placid and almost friendly. Almost. ]

Gin.

[Inside, he's shocked to see the man... Though he knew of the imprisonment, he did have his doubts about how long that prison would hold him.

But Gin puts on a strong face, grinning.]

Well, I didn't think I'd find Aizen-taicho here.

[ The faintest of smiles plays at the corner of Sousuke's mouth, his head tilting just slightly to the side. He's the picture of curiosity. Nothing more. Nothing less. ]

Where did you think you'd find me?

[smiling_loser]

Aizen. [He knows something is wrong, m'kay? Don't be bothered by that doubt on his face. For a second, he thought he saw a caged bird sing. Given who he was staring at, it was disturbing.]

[ Sousuke's face betrays nothing at the sight of Gin. If he's surprised to see him alive, or angry that he's not dead, he doesn't reveal it. In fact, a slight smile curves the corner of his mouth. ]

Gin.

[ A brief greeting, nothing more. Not yet. ]

[Customary smile on face.]

Ya seem different...taicho.

[ His lips quirk into an expression of mild curiosity. ]
