[ And enter a very excited looking Apollo Justice, having just stepped out of the courtroom doors. In his world, he's just taken his bar exam, and before he realizes that he's not home, he lets out an excited WHOOP! of joy, most likely catching the attention of any passers-by. Apollo has, of course, practiced his Chords of Steel training this

Why is he so familiar? And then he remembers-- the day those new people came here! But this one seems different. So he looks over at him, unsure of what to say... the boy does look confused, but... ]
...
Which Gavin would you be referring to?

[ Apollo's jaw almost drops to the floor, and he lets out a small, barely contained noise of excitement, a grin on his face ]
You're here?!

His enthusiasm, however, makes the older Prosecutor stiffen in surprise, before he adjusts the scarf around his neck, looking almost awkward for a moment, and then giving the other a nod. ]

[ A pause, before he gives the younger boy a careful look. ]
You've just arrived, I take it?
[ Telling him that he'd met another of him doesn't seem like the best option. However, with what he knows of things from what that other Phoenix Wright who arrived here that one curse day told him... Damn this City and its confusing situations.]

[ He nods once, shifting the cloak juuust a bit to the side to display his shining attorney's badge, his frame shivering slightly from the exposure to the cold.
He then hesitates, chewing his bottom lip as he glances around the Square, trying to put on a brave face in front of MILES EDGEWORTH, FAMOUS PROSECUTOR, and one of Apollo's heroes. ]
E..Er, wherever here is, anyway...

He's lucky he managed to catch him at all. Who knows what kind of people he could have run into? ]
The City. [ He states calmly, sighing. ] It's a bit difficult to explain.
[ And then, a look back at the boy. ]
You're Justice, aren't you? Apollo Justice?
[ Of course, he does regret asking it once he does. How is he supposed to explain to him that in all likeliness, he's from the boy's past and they aren't even supposed to know each other at the point in time Edgeworth is from?
Still, he knows Klavier... and it's not like he wasn't told of what the future was to hold.
Perhaps the boy's arrival would make Klavier happy. But first, he needs to cover up for the fact that he knows him at all. The next reason will just have to do, and it's not like it's a lie anyway. ]
...Wright mentioned you.

He did?
[ Apollo can't hold back his excitement, grinning widely as the cloak starts to slip from his shoulders ]
(Wow, I must've made an impression on Mr. Wright..!)
Is.. Is he here, too?

Though at that question, he shakes his head once. ]
Not any longer.
[ And as much as it always irks him to admit it, he knows it can't be helped. Wright's probably better off at home than he is here, but if going home means experiencing the circumstances that will take his badge away... ]
...you're going to catch a cold in this weather. Do you have a place to stay yet? If you've arrived alone, then I suggest you follow me. The ticking will grow louder if you are alone for too long.
[ A pause. ]
Unless you are waiting for someone...?
[ If Klavier was off on fieldwork, there's no chance he'd have met Apollo yet. Did this mean this boy had been looking for... no, it can't be, can it? Perhaps he's overthinking things. Yes, that might be it.
Of course, if who he fears does end up in the City, then he'd rather Klavier be kept away from him at all costs... ]

[ He blinks up at Edgeworth and then a look of shock crosses his face ]

Do you mean there's a bomb around?!
[ ... It's not that Apollo means to be a dork; sometimes he just can't help it. And without given the opportunity to think something through thoroughly, he'll often jump to the wrong conclusion. And that tendency is only encouraged when he's stressed or worked up.
And being thrust into a brand-new city does tend to stress one out. ]

It's a little hard to explain.

[ And he gestures towards the carousel, beyond the buildings. ]
That thing over there. It's what keeps the City going. Apparently it is counting down to something, and for some reason, when a person is alone here, they can hear that ticking very loudly, and not when they are with someone else.
[ Turning back to look at Apollo, maintaining his cool composure, he motions to him. ]
You'll need a guide. I have one at my apartment if you will come with me.
( I can't very well leave him out in the cold... )

[ Swallows slightly and looks over at the carousel, trying to calm his pounding heart as he steps closer to Edgeworth, chewing his bottom lip. He remains very quiet as he listens to the older prosecutor explain, his fingers twisting into the cloak. ]
A... guide, sir?

[ He repeats, not entirely pleased with having to re-state what he has just said. The boy isn't hard of hearing, is he? ]
It will explain all you need to know about this City and how it works. I can offer you residence for the night and help you find your own place to stay when you are ready. There are some good apartments available in my building.
[ Giving the other a look, he then sighs, feeling a tinge of sympathy for him. ]
...you're no longer home. It would do well to adapt here as soon as you can. This place is capable of taking you by surprise when you least expect it.
