I wasn't too interested at first because I remember I wasn't too interested in Transformers as a kid. I was a little, but I also remember trying to watch things I was interested in once and realizing I wasn't anymore. Then they showed the preview of the boy and I remembered that was the aspect I liked.
I was still expecting to be a little bored, but WOW. Freakin WOW! I like exploding stuff too (though I prefer having someone else with me for some reason) and the cheesy alien storyline was interesting and the chick-flickish storyline between the two kids was just cute.
I got attached to those alien transforming robots. I'll ramble more about that to you in IM.
I'm not very critical, but for not sure what to expect, it was AWESOME. BIG. YES.
