I have a lot of conflicting emotion going on. I'm both grateful and extremely sad that everyone had to hold onto this news for the sake of our wedding. This family is so strong, has so much courage, and is so connected. I'm humbled to be a part of it.

Love you, sister.

Hey doll,

Sorry to hear about your mom, but also glad to hear that it's treatable and the roughest part of dealing with it emotionally is all past for you.

Your mom and your family are in my thoughts and prayers :)

Thank you. I'm glad to know so many people who have such big hearts to think about people they don't see day to day.

BTW, we talked a lot about you this past weekend and how much we all adore you. You should probably come to Minneapolis sometime. Just saying.

Yeah, my dad had this amazing girlfriend, Cynthia, back when I was in HS. She was great, but had fought cancer a few times. By the end of it, it had spread to her liver and lower abdomen area, then her whole body. They said chemo who only extend her life, but also make it painful, so she was content with putting her affairs in order and drifting away. 5 months later, she died and all these years later we all still miss her. Chemo sucks and is hard. My mom would have been on radiation 5 days a week for a month which I guess is better, but still, even though you aren't losing your hair, that can't feel good.

When it rains it pours...how you managed to stay put together enough to handle the show with all this going on...your so my hero.

Best of luck to your mom and your family. My dad had skin cancer of the highly-treatable-but-you-never-know kind several years ago. Its good that your mom is putting her health above vanity- some people arent that smart!

And yay for new boobs. Can she pick me up a pair while shes looking?

Best of luck to you and your mom! :) kick some ass.

My friend's mom actually ended up passing away from cancer last year, as did my grandpa many many years ago...it's a terrible terrible thing.
