I'm finally done work for the summer. Of course this means that the job search begins anew. I'll probably end up at my hotel again, I'd prefer to work somewhere at school in a lab but the hotel just fits my schedule about as well as any can. I'm off to work in a couple of minutes so I'll keep this short. The past several weeks have been really hectic. With the exception of this week I've been spending three nights each week at the Mersy river system down in Liverpool doing fish rescue and water quality tests. I spent most of this week in Liverpool working at the mersey river system. They needed to do some upkeep and maintenance on the hydro plants there and so needed to drain one of the rivers. I'm a week into the new job and so far its great. I have to spend half my time sitting in my office counting fish on my computer but the rest of the time I'm driving around the province. I am expected to work unpaid overtime but I'm willing to do that to get the experience that the job provides ( Read more... )

So I'm back, slightly tanned and already hard at work. The trip was amazing. Side note, I quit my job at the hotel yesterday and am starting a new job working for N.S. Power on the 17th. Rock on. I'll give better details when I get back.
