Evan turned a page on his newspaper, carefully manipulating it his one hand. On his table was an iced drink, dark in color, perhaps coffee, perhaps Cola. He looked over the lines then folded it and placed it on the table. He sighed and rubbed his neck, before scanning the crowd. Eye contacts was made briefly with Blanc then it passed. He looked musingly at nothing then picked up his drink and finished it.

Finally he stood, placing money on the table then he smiled at the Server who smiled warmly back, in the friendly familiarity of a regular customer and a good tipper that Evan was. Evan tucked the newspaper under his arm and wandered to the fountain, looking into the clear waters and watching the water cause ripples and patterns. Always so interesting.

ooc; I can be distracted by the ripples in a fountain like BURNING. XD;;

Blanc sat a good distance away, reading his own newspaper and discreetly monitoring Evan. But when that flicker of eye contact was made, Blanc knew he'd been spotted. Oh well, he wasn't too fussed by it. By the information Arthur had gathered, Evan was a professional in more than one way; skill forger with a mercenary background. His training was top-notch and Blanc knew he had the disadvantage in this round.

But he wasn't here to cause any trouble, simply talk and find out where things stood.

He continued to read the newspaper, glancing when Evan wandered to the fountain. It was a nice fountain, elegant, beautiful. After a few more minutes, Blanc folded up his newspaper, grabbed his briefcase and wandered over to the fountain, still remaining several feet away as he dug through his pockets and threw a few coins into the water.

"Make a wish." Evan said as the man who he had noticed tossed a few coins into the fountain, watching the new ripples added, merging and changing.

"Legends say It will come true." He straightened then and looked over at Blanc, making eye contact. "As long as you wish no harm that is."

Carefully he looked at the other man, noting the newspaper and briefcase. A smile flickered a moment on his face. But the thing that really held his attention was the man's face. He knew that face. He studied Blanc face carefully.

"You look a bit familiar... But not."

Blanc chuckles appreciatively, also watching the ripples in the water. "Three coins in the fountain, each one seeking happiness," he lightly sings, while musing over what his own wish would be. The safety of everyone involved, of course.

At Evan's follow up, he gave a slight chuckle and shook his head. "I think wishing for something harmful would counteract the sanctity of the wish and the powers of the fountain."

"Do I now?" Blanc looked over at Evan with an innocently curious expression even as he felt an ominous edge. But nonsense. It could have been nothing more than Ginia having old family pictures or something, though even that would make things difficult.
