After thinking for a long time that the cause of my urge incontinence was either a misshapen urethral sphincter or scarring of same, my urologist told my primary doc that it was neurological. Is that the same as neurogenic? I'm so confused, and my urologist is so big and scary (lol), I don't want to ask him. Does anyone here know anything about ( Read more... )

I took my daughter, Grace, to the Spina Bifida clinic for her twice annual checkup. She got ultra-sound, x-rays, ortho, and urology appointments. Ortho turned out good, but bladder stones showed up on the ultra-sound...damn! She's being scheduled for surgery in August and it'll be the fourth time for bladder stones. I have had two bladder infections in 2 months. For some reason the doctor never gets the blood clots in the “pee cup”. Last night the er did a catheter OMG THAT SUCKED!!. Hello. I suffer occasional urine incontinence. What do you recommend, diapers or pads and what brand?

I don't run into this problem very often because I keep my home well supplied with milk, but do ANY of you ever experience diarrhea when you don't get enough milk, rather than the other way around??

I just wondered if there were any members here who used either Foly or Subrapubic catheters? Im currently using a foly, and although i've been 99% trouble free [just occational infection] my urologist has decided that we should opt for a long term subrapubic catheter.
