In other news...Schmed is coming home next weekend and wants to collaborate on new music. He wants to write 3 new songs. Whatever we accomplish will be uploaded to Jamendo the following week. Stay tuned.

The DJ Blackwidow MySpace page has finally been updated to reflect my new Field Notes CD.

My new album, Field Notes, has been released on Jamendo and is available for download. Click here to listen/download the album. I am grateful that the album is finished, because it was kind of an emotional experience for me. I hope it is reflected in the music. New and classic sounds from DJ Blackwidow! Enjoy!!

The CD has been handed to Jamendo (the distributor) and they are performing a final mastering of the CD. I have decided, under advisement from friends, to release it under the DJ Blackwidow name. The album has been given a final mix and has been mastered. I'm going to do a final run through of it tonight and am hoping for the album to be released on Jamendo in the next week. My new CD is nearly completed. I have to do some final changes in arrangements, editing and a final mastering. Jeni Mantle, an artist and close friend, is doing the art for the cover. The album currently has 12 tracks (10 original songs, and 2 remixes), although that might change. I'm hoping for a July release of the CD ( Read more... )

Boy George was released from prison on May 11! My parents anniversary! I'm shocked that we didn't hear anything here in the states. Now, here's to hoping he gets back in drags and back into the studio.

Field Notes will be released as the debut CD under my own name. It is shaping up to be the best CD I've done in years. It incorporates all the things I've been doing over the last several years with an orchestral edge. I'm already extremely proud of it. I don't expect it to be released for a few months, though.
