It's Timmy's birthday!

I feel great today. Work went well, nice and smoothly, the evening was fine and there were no usual calamities that usually occur on Sunday nights. I was all set on reading the Zelanzy novel this evening but while I was shelving a different book caught my eye, one that I never would've expected to be in the library, let alone in translated english ( Read more... )

I like that even if someone loses their soul... they can still fight for it.

(Okay, that doesn't make any sense...)

Okay, like the little Tora-Ge akito-dog Weed, he inspires bravery and justice in those who once had 'lost their souls...'

I hope this main character you're talking about will realize that kind of courage...

(it makes me sad, ya know? because nobody wants to talk about the hero anymore--we've lost interest in him, which is almost like a God losing interest in his people)

It's dangerous for a God to lose faith in their worshippers, because once nobody believes the God dies.

Then... I guess it would really make more sense the other way around, huh?

Looking at things from a 'modern' point of view: the God is only there because the people believe he exists. (Instead of that God created the people, so, logically, he doesn't need us in the first place...)

I think there was a page in 'The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy' that said the same thing.

Except it involved zebras, I think...
