Well, I have a license now. Managed to pass at the hardest DMV in the city apparently, although I'm still not sure if I really should be licensed yet. Still make some stupid mistakes as a few of my friends can attest. Still, having a license after so many years is fucking awesome. I'm so done with the bus and bike right now. Well I'm 26 now. Every year feels exponentially older than that last now, don't really look forward to my birthdays anymore. But I guess I'm technically still young right now. Not looking forward to 30 though.

Amazing what a few pieces of new equipment can do I guess. Just a few months ago, I was worried I wouldn't have a computer at all as both my laptop and my computer were on the verge of breakdown.

Going to clip the boring tech stuff of the history of my issues and how I resolved them. Mostly for my own benefit anyways.

Quick life update. I had to cancel my plane flights (more or less obviously). I'm still waiting on the $8k I'm owed for the 3 months I haven't been paid for yet (which'll be -really- nice when I get, and will enable me to fly out too, assuming I don't get them too late). So today I've joined the hoards of the people jobless because of the financial crisis. Yeah the people I worked for were in Spain, but the people financing them were in the US so it still effected me I guess. Well the cruise probably ranks up there on one of the most fun times of my life. Got to go scuba diving in cazumel, mexico and visited the mayan ruins in Belize. Partied every night in the nightclub on the ship (even got drunk enough once to throw up), saw Kenny James in person, and some other cool shows as well ( Read more... )
