The last hurdle to re-employment. To celebrate, I went to CVS and spent too much money on makeup. I'm thinking maybe a new haircut is in order as well

and my theory is always to show up looking "normal" and then see how much I can get away with, haha. Like when I first started here, I realized that after 2 years of having to wear a business suit every day, EVERYONE HERE has openly displayed tattoos. Didn't see that one coming at all. :P

This 5 weeks of unemployment have been by choice, but the job I had before that was HORRIBLE. Once I get my blogging groove back I will have many ridiculous stories to tell.

It's so good to see you back here! Hope the job thing works out, and peeing in a cup wasn't for naught.

I'm lucky my business is generally not shocked by multi-colored hair and tattoos. And I also don't deal with clients, so there's little pressure to look even remotely normal. Though from what I'm seeing in Chicago, it's barely out of the realm of "normal" anymore.
